A Psalm of David

13 How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.  (KJV)

Our Father,

For a long time we have longed for the spiritual climate in our nation to improve but division and anger have overtaken our land and our culture is increasingly calling evil good while characterizing your Word as bigotry and hate. We pray daily hoping for a new awakening in our land and you continue to bless us with patience and we have gotten closer to you in the process. So it has all been worth it and we praise your name no matter where we are right now.

A long time ago we received your vision of where you were taking us and this is not the fulfillment of our hopes or anywhere close to the direction we believe that you gave us so many years ago. The years are leaving us and now there are fewer ahead than behind. But I read about Caleb and it still gives me hope and faith for what‘s ahead. Plus many of your prophetic ministers continue to proclaim that revival is coming soon and that we are in the midst of a world-wide great harvest in the name of Jesus.

Rise up O God and help us defeat our fears and slay the giants standing in the way of the path you originally revealed to us. We are presently in a fog and need clear vision of the steps we need to take to get there from here.

Praise your name Lord and the name of your Son Jesus and by your Holy Spirit lead us out of the desert places into the promised destiny before us. Meanwhile, teach us to celebrate where we are and take our worship to a new level.

In Jesus name, Amen.
