A Psalm of Solomon

127 Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.  (KJV)

Our Father,

We thank you for the anointed Christian leaders that you have chosen to lead us and the churches that you caused to be built up that are still faithful to your Word and your Son Jesus.

We also thank you for the younger generation that is coming on; the children that you have given us. For setting them apart and preparing them lead your people and church in the future. The children are not only our hope that you have given us for the future but also your blessing for us now.

We pray for their salvation; that the church will recover the younger generations that have substantially left the churches. We need revival in our schools and a new awakening directed towards the younger people who now do not know you or your church.

When we look at our children and grandchildren we are also concerned about what kind of country they will be inheriting from us. We cry for revival now to come to this nation and bring it back to your teaching and Word. Let the next generation in America receive from us a country that has come back to you and is even better than it was when we received it.

In Jesus name, Amen.
