Join us in today’s devotion and prayer-

Read the Psalm in your favorite version or in the following KJV and then join us in praying below:

126 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

3 The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.  (KJV)

Our Father,

You have done great things for America in the past. We are thankful and praise your name. Now we live in a time when many in our nation have rejected your Word and teachings; while so many others have no understanding or have never really read your teachings in the Bible at all.

The American church seems to have been lulled asleep while the dominant culture has turned away from your Son and gone into pursuing immorality and divisive causes in the name of civil rights. We cry to you; let the church wake up. Let your Kingdom come down in our midst, and let revival flow from one coast to another in this nation.

Let those who are called Christians rise up and shake off their slumber while there is yet day and move forth in your Spirit bringing signs and wonders, healing and miracles to our cities and neighborhoods.

Let the church move forward outside their safe buildings and engage the people where they work, shop, and play. Let the Gospel of the Kingdom be sowed on main street and let there be shouts of joy as the prodigals come home and accept the abundant life in your Son Jesus and receive their blessings and inheritance both in this world and the world to come.

In Jesus name, Amen.
