Psalm 3:

A Psalm of David

3 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God.

Selah.

3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill.

Selah.

5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people.

Selah.  (KJV)

Our Father,

You are our shield and the lifter of our spirits, you sustain us through it all and you are our encourager when it seems like the whole world is against us. But through your Holy Spirit you rise up and show us the way out of our difficulty and bless us with greater strength and resolve in the process, thank you O Lord for your continual help.

Our nation is changing and it seems like many times the leaders in our government now oppose believers and your Word and call that which is evil good. Father help us to persevere and be faithful in the midst of it all.

We pray for a new spiritual awakening in America and for revival to come once more all across our land. Let those who do not believe see the fulfillment of your Word, through signs and wonders, healings and miracles. Let them flow once more among our people and change the course of this nation bringing it back to your Son Jesus.

Let there be respect once more in our land for your Word and teaching, for your Kingdom and Gospel which is good news and salvation for all people.

In Jesus name, Amen.
