Read the Psalm in your favorite version or in the following KJV and then join us in praying below:
97 The Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.
4 His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.
8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O Lord.
9 For thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.
10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. (KJV)
Our Father,
You reign and the whole earth rejoices; righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. The mountains melt like wax before you; the heavens proclaim your righteousness, and all the peoples see your glory in creation. For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all else.
You have promised to preserve the lives of your saints and have promised joy and the abundant life for those who believe in your Son Jesus. Let all who have faith in the Lord rejoice and reject the spirit of fear in the midst of war, rumors of war, and chaos of hate being demonstrated in the streets.
Nevertheless, we come to you in prayer for those who are called by the name of your Son Jesus and are currently suffering injustices and persecution. We know that they are preserved for all eternity in the life to come but we cry out for your justice and mercy to come forth for these believers and for their children in this life. We also pray for the Jewish people who continue to be slandered and Israel who the whole world seems to oppose. Let your prophetic promises to that nation be fulfilled soon; that they might recognize and receive their true Messiah Jesus.
Let the light and revival come to our land and let the truth be known in the midst of darkness and hate. Let your Kingdom come and let your true Word be preached and demonstrated in the streets and in our neighborhoods and families.
Authorities have come against the churches and closed them down during the pandemic; while protesters were allowed to continue in the streets and casinos were considered ‘essential.’ We pray now for our enemies and those who come against the church; that they will come to the truth and the true light of the Lord Jesus Christ while there is yet day: We want to see Sauls turned into Pauls in Jesus name.
We are looking for the day when your Spirit will hover over every nation and a Great Harvest will touch every people and tongue before that great Day of the Lord when your Son Jesus comes in the clouds. Come Lord Jesus, soon!
In His name we pray, Amen.
