A Prayer of David

86 Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

6 Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

17 Show me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.  (KJV)

Our Father,

Incline your ear, O Lord, and be gracious to us; gladden the hearts of your servants, O Lord, and lift us up with the joy that only you can give us; for you are good and forgiving and abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.  We thank you, O Lord, for the hope and grace you give us through your Holy Spirit.

This is a day of trouble for the servants of your Son around the world; and the nation of Israel is under attack by those who claim to follow you by a different name and book. We cry out to you for our brothers and sisters that are facing disaster upon disaster. Strengthen your servants in their time of need and deliver them by your miraculous hand from the evil one and his minions who are reaching out to destroy all who take the name of Jesus in the Middle East and Africa and around the world. Also protect Israel and the Jewish people from those who claim to be doing your will but are following the evil one instead.

For you have done many great and wondrous things in the past and you alone are God and your Word and prophecies will all be fulfilled. The day will come when Israel will be saved and all the Jewish people will be grafted back and become believers in your Son Jesus, their true Messiah. We cry out that they will be protected along with all of your people from the enemy that wish to destroy them.

We also cry unto you, O Lord, for your prophecies to be soon fulfilled; let your Church and people on earth experience your Kingdom in their midst while there is yet day. Teach us your ways, O Lord, that we may walk in your truth; unite our hearts by your Spirit to become that people who spread your Word and your Kingdom to every people and tongue. Give your strength to your servants that they may complete the task and fulfill the scriptures and prophesies that will prepare the world for return of your Son.

We humbly give thanks to you, O Lord our God, with all of our hearts, and wish to glorify your name before the whole world.  Let your Kingdom come in our midst and bring revival and a new awakening among your church and servants. Let your Kingdom come, your will be done in our midst first and then on the earth as it is in Heaven.

In Jesus name, Amen.
