75 Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.
2 When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
3 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
5 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
8 For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
9 But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. (KJV)
Our Father,
We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is dear to us and your Spirit attends us daily. We praise your name for the wonderful deeds that you have done in the past and for the hope you have instilled within us for this life and the life to come.
With wars raging and all the chaos that is in the world today, many are saying that time is short; the signs seem to indicate that your Son will be coming back soon. While there is yet day, O God, bring down your Kingdom in our midst, let there be birth pangs of your coming Kingdom and power in the midst of all the end-time signs.
Let your church and servants be empowered as never before to spread your Word and gospel to every nation, people, and tongue with signs and wonders, miracles and healings, following to confirm that you are still acting in history and still in control of all creation. You are the one who allows leaders to be raised up and you are the one that brings them down.
So many are declaring today that there was no creator and everything happened by accident. Nature seems to be rising up and rebelling against humanity, and wars and rumors of wars are reaching us daily from far and near. False teachers are rising up right and left, even in your church, and the hopes of many are being destroyed. But your Holy Spirit continues to encourage us and we stand on your Word and declare your promises and still believe in your Son Jesus regardless..
Let the church rise up as never before and bring your Word and hope to a world without hope and demonstrate your love and power to a new generation while there is yet day.
Meanwhile, we give thanks to you O God in all of the circumstances we find ourselves in. We thank you for the hope you give us in this life and the security in the life to come for all eternity through Jesus Christ your Son.
