Read the Psalm in your favorite version or in the following KJV and then join us in praying below:
42 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
8 Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. (KJV)
Our Father,
The world asks- “Where is your God?” and the enemy and his minions say: “Your ‘God’ has forgotten you; besides you are not good enough anyway.” But your Holy Spirit is still with us every day and your promises have been stored deep within our souls and hope is still in every Word you speak and joy rises up within us to give us strength and we praise your name.
Our brothers and sisters in Christ pray for us in heavenly language and deep speaks to deep down to the foundations of our very hearts. We will yet see our salvation in the land of the living, and by faith in your Son Jesus our eternal destiny is already assured.
The world says “there is no God’ and yet each one was created to seek out their creator. Millions are looking for answers in this life but the enemy has blinded so many. One day your light will shine forth and the forces of evil will not be able to damper or contain it and all the world will see the coming of your Son Jesus in the clouds. Millions will join him with shouts of joy but millions will also try to hide their faces from the coming judgment.
We cry out to you O Lord that we may still continue to have the strength and the opportunity to spread your Word and deeds to a disbelieving world and sing your praises before the enemy in this life while there is yet day. May many who now scoff find your Son and join us with shouts of joy praising your name and singing songs of hallelujah at the great coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
And in His name we pray, Amen.
