A Psalm of David

24 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob.

Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.

Selah.  (KJV)

Our Father,

The whole creation is yours and we are in awe of its beauty and order. We are not worthy to even pray to you in our own name and stand before you according to our own deeds and failures. It is only by the name of your Son Jesus, who is the King of Glory, that we have freedom to ask for your blessings; and through faith in him that we have any standing at all in your kingdom. And it is only through the help of your Holy Spirit that we are able to apply your Word in our lives.

In thankfulness we seek your face and long for your kingdom and pray for your presence in our midst. Let us have a taste of your kingdom in this life, bring healing to our churches and let your Spirit speak once more in our midst and inspire our leaders with vision and a clear path toward becoming the people you have called us to be.

Help us to become a people of clean hands and pure hearts in order to serve you better and help others in this life; and be worthy to receive your blessings for now and forever.

Who is the King of Glory? Your Son Jesus is the Lord of Hosts, he is the King of Glory. Let him soon appear in the clouds and catch us up to meet him and bring the blessings of your Kingdom to the whole earth, every nation and people; a kingdom of health, prosperity, and real peace. All creation groans for the soon coming of the Lord, come Lord Jesus come.

And In His name we pray, Amen.
