A Psalm of David
19 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. (KJV)
Our Father,
The beauty of creation fills us with awe and we are all aware of the physical laws that you have set forth in nature. As a child we quickly learn that placing our hands in a flame burns and hurts. We fall down rather than up and snow is cold rather than hot, rain is wet and not dry.
So also are there spiritual laws in your creation. Though many times we ignore them even though they are written in your Word and in your deeds. Your laws are perfect in creation both physical and spiritual. Guide us by your Holy Spirit to respond to your commands and loving direction daily.
We live in times in which your Word and directions are ignored and some are even called evil in our current culture. By your Holy Spirit strengthen and inspire believers to take a stand for your loving teachings and against cultural PC dictums which call evil good and cast your perfect spiritual laws as wrong and even as ‘hateful’ discrimination.
In the midst of it all, let us bless your name O Lord and actually live according to your Word and the teachings which we say that we believe in. Let the example of your Son Jesus become a reality in our lives. Praise your word and thanks for the love, joy, and blessings that you bring into our lives and into the lives of our friends and families.
Let your light shine once more on our nation and let the truth be exposed regardless of the political consequences. We pray for our leaders in the midst of this time of confusion. May they realize that they really don’t have any effective answers right now and seek your wisdom instead. In the midst of this spiritual crisis we seek a new awakening in our land and revival all across the world.
