A Psalm of David
16 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (KJV)
Our Father,
Thanks for the blessings you continue to give us through your presence and counsel.We cannot imagine how hopeless and without purpose our life would be without you and your Son Jesus.
The path we travel on in life is filled with pits and problems like everyone else but we have you and your Holy Spirit as our refuge in our times of difficulty. You give us hope and joy in the midst of despair and a vision of your infinite Kingdom when we face the limitations before us in this life.
Praise your name Lord, we are thankful for the eternal vision of the future you have given us which is beyond anything that this world has to offer. In the mean time you bless our lives everyday and bring us joy regardless of what we are facing.
In health and weakness, wealth or need, we praise you and we are thankful for your presence. Without you our life would have no purpose or hope. You give us vision and direction in the midst of the confusion that the enemy has sowed in this land.
We pray that millions of others will come and receive your blessings also becoming heirs of your Kingdom through faith in your Son Jesus. We also pray that our nation and leaders will once more respect your Word and acknowledge your Son Jesus as in the past. Let your light bathe our land once more and bring a new awakening in our nation and healing among our people.
