Join us in today’s devotion and prayer-
Read the Psalm in your favorite version or in the following KJV and then join us in praying below:
121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. (KJV)
Our Father,
Thank you Lord for being our help and the one we can always depend upon no matter what the situation. You continue to watch over us and keep us from all evil. You also are with us in our coming in and our going out and in the midst of it all. Thank you Lord.
We pray now for the American church which seems to be slumbering while our culture slides into darkness away from your Word and teaching. Let your kingdom come down in our midst and transform our churches, pastors, leaders, and people.
We lift our eyes to you and we pray for our nation and our cities. May you show favor over our country once more and may your Spirit hover over our neighborhoods and businesses. Bless us again with a new awakening and revival all across America.
Let your Kingdom come and your will be done. Come, Lord Jesus come; let your Spirit flood our nation once more while there is yet day. The help we need in opposing our evil enemies can only come from you for now and forevermore; and help us Lord to learn to always respond in love regardless of the situation.
In Jesus name, Amen.
