105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
107 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word.
108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments.
109 My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.
111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
112 I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end. (KJV)
Our Father,
Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light unto our path and your Holy Spirit enlivens your teaching within us daily. The testimonies in your Word bring hope and joy to our hearts. Lord help us to continually live according to your Word and help us avoid all of the snares of the enemy.
May your church also be revived by your Word in the midst of this divisive culture. Let your Kingdom be reflected in our leaders and let your kingdom culture be reflected increasingly among those who are called by the name of your Son Jesus.
Let your Spirit go forth among the nations and bring on a great harvest. Let your Spirit also go forth in this nation and turn it around. Let revival begin and a new awakening dawn upon America. Let signs and wonders confirm your Word to a nation that is now ignoring it or even actively reviling some of your teachings.
Let it begin in the streets and also within the church and let America rise up from its partnership with a dead and dying culture and let it come to life in Your Spirit; beginning with each one of us who have taken on the name of your Son Jesus. May we respond more closely to your Word and live according to your teachings and the guidance of your Holy Spirit daily.
