A Psalm of David

110 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

2 The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

4 The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.  (KJV)

Our Father,

You have said to your Son who is our Lord and Savior: “Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.” You have proclaimed in your Word that one day He will rule over Jerusalem and send forth his law from Zion to the whole world and to every nation and people. We look forward to that day and rejoice in the promise of His coming again.

In that day all of us who believe in your Son will be caught up in the clouds and come with him and follow him and rejoice in his rule over all creation. Then there will be no sickness or poverty, hunger or war; but all shall live together in peace for the first time in all of history. And the Lord Jesus Christ will be the ruler and the high Priest over all the earth and we shall be his magistrates and ministers. Praise your Name Father, for in that day you will be worshiped by all people and nations.

Until the great and marvelous day, let your Kingdom come down in our midst and prepare a people to reign and rule with him. Let us take your Kingdom message to all of the world and peoples, let everyone hear and have a chance to join him and share in the joy of his coming. Meanwhile we will continue to praise your name.

Let healings and signs and wonders commence to follow us and confirm your Word and our testimony. Let the great harvest of the nations continue and increase like birth pains reflecting the coming wars and difficulties of the last days before his glorious coming. Revive us O Lord and let us have a part to play in that great endeavor while there is yet day.

In Jesus name, Amen.
