Psalm 6:
A Palm of David
6 O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?
4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies’ sake.
5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly. (KJV)
Our Father,
Forgive us our trespasses and all of the mistakes we have done lately in not listening to the counsel of your Holy Spirit. Help us also to forgive those around us who have treated us less than kindly and have made our situation worse.
Lord give us strength to lift up our head and see the path and the blessings before us and rejoice in the answers you give us to the dilemmas we face daily. Give us courage to walk on the path you have given us in this life even when those around us are jeering and making fun of our faith in you and your Son.
Heal us today of the hurts and the physical ailments that are assailing us and keeping us from being more loving and helpful to others. Hear our pleas O Lord and let us become an example of your goodness in this life to both our friends and those who consider us enemies.
Let us be your servants and instruments to bring your light and love and revival to our thirty land.
In Jesus name, Amen.
