Proverbs 2:16-22
16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. (KJV)
Our Father,
Thank You for helping us through Your Holy Spirit to walk in Your ways of righteousness; for guiding us to be upright and loving in all of our relationships. Thanks for showing us that blessings and joy follow those who live by Your teachings and Word.
You have counseled us to avoid adulterous relationships that would end up ruining our lives and families. Thank You for strengthening our relationships and marriages so that we are not tempted and for being faithful to show us a way out when we are.
You have counseled us to not be conformed to the thinking and culture of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. May our thoughts always dwell upon those things which build up and strengthen our lives and bring us closer to You and Your Son Jesus.
