A Psalm of David
60 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.
5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.
6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?
11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies. (KJV)
Our Father,
It is only through you that we can truly be blessed in this life and the one to come. Please do not let our nation be brought down, save us from the plans of our enemy the devil and his minions.
We ask for blessing in the midst of the shaking and peace instead of war which seems to be escalating in many places around the world.
Let the social chaos be stilled, bring your wisdom to our leaders who seem to be lost their preconceived notions of political correctness and control. Let your light shine in the midst of the darkness, let the real truth be exposed and let your justice prevail.
Our nation and culture is falling away from your word, so many no longer believe. So few of our political leaders look to you for answers and protection. Yet there are still millions who believe in your Son and millions who call upon your name daily praying for revival and a new awakening in our land. Will you bring judgment instead? We ask for mercy and grace in the midst of the shaking.
You have spoken of your holiness, your Word directs our steps. You have set up a banner for those who love and fear you, that we may flee to it from the ruin and be saved in the midst of it all. And that banner of salvation is your Son Jesus. Will the believers go down with the rest, those of us who call your name will we be caught up in the midst of the shaking and chaos? Let it not be so!
Deliver us from the shaking and our whole land from deception, chaos, and conflict. Have mercy upon all the little ones, and bring your revival all across this land once more. Let us escape the plans of the evil one to destroy this nation and let us see our finest hour instead.
Let the church rise up and fulfill its destiny starting here and starting now. Let your Kingdom come and your will be done and demonstrated in our midst.
